Red Rose - Episode 6 Summary & Recap

Red Rose is still alive

Six weeks has passed since Simon’s death and Red Rose has been quiet since. The police, parents and some of the Dickheads believed that Simon was the one behind Red Rose. The more important thing is that the Dickheads feel more at peace now. Taz surprised Ashley with a ticket to Paris, and the rest of the group is expecting the two of them to get together soon.

On their results day, everyone did pretty well. Vinny was also there to take Roch’s results, and claimed that Roch did amazing. After Simon’s death, Rachel had been more accepting of Rick. She even invited him into the house so that they can share the good news of Wren’s results together. However, Wren did not understand how things patch up so quickly.

Anthony, on the other hand, had trouble sharing his results with his drunken mother. Therefore, he went to Jacob’s house and shared the news with Jacob’s mother instead. Hearing that Anthony intended to go to college, Jacob’s mother passed Anthony Jacob’s iPad. On the iPad is the Red Rose app. Not sure what to do, Anthony brought the iPad to Jaya who found multiple vlogs from Jacob on it. While watching a video, Jaya noticed that the background had a URL to the dark web. Turns out Red Rose had a website as well.

Digging deeper

Jaya continued to study Jacob’s vlogs, hoping to get a clue to the password of the site. However, she and Anthony kept it a secret from the other Dickheads because they worry about Wren. As she watched all these vlogs, it became apparent that Jacob was in love with Alyssa, but it appeared that Alyssa either was not aware or did not feel the same way. There was also a vlog on Alyssa’s death where Jacob was crying. He mentioned “The Gardener”.

One day when Jaya was hanging out with Ashley and Wren, Ashley allowed Jaya to write her name on her jacket. That means that Jaya is now officially part of the Dickheads. The next day, during a walk, Anthony came out to his friends as gay. The group wholeheartedly accepted him and kissed him on the cheek.

That night was a party where all the students get drunk. Jaya had too much to drink and accidentally blurted to Wren about the Red Rose website. Although Wren was surprised, she asked Jaya to drop the issue. When she left, Jaya continued to mutter “I love you too”, which might indicate that she has feelings for Wren. Realizing this, Jaya immediately went home and typed “Iloveyoutoo” into the Red Rose website, and she managed to login.

Through the Red Rose website, Jaya could see other users and multiple phones being tracked and their cameras being accessed.

The mess continues

Meanwhile, at the party, Wren had an argument with Noah. She then went to a corner by herself and called Roch’s phone to tell Roch that she misses her. When Wren put the phone down, she got a message from Roch’s phone, saying that she is there. This leaves Wren surprised as she walked pass the crowd into a more secluded area. Taz who caught a glimpse of Wren followed her.

As Jaya continued to see the Red Rose site, a message popped up saying that Jaya should not be there. Before she knew it there was smoke, and Jaya’s house was on fire. At the party, someone pushed Ashley onto the river rocks.
