The 7 Lives Of Lea- Who killed Ismaël?

On the day of Ismaël’s supposed death, to her shock, Léa woke up as Ismaël. After drinking a spiked drink, he got high with the 5 other people whom she swapped lives with that week- Karine, Patricia, Pye, Sandra and Stéphane. When everyone was high, Pye threatened “Ismaël” with the gun he stole from Patricia, but eventually decided against firing the gun. The gun eventually fell into Stéphane’s hand, and the confused and miserable Stéphane confessed to “Ismaël” that he loved him and let out his feelings of lying to himself. Afraid that Stéphane would actually shoot, Karine jumped onto Stéphane causing him to accidentally fire the gun. As “Ismaël”, Léa jumped into the river before getting shot.

After surviving the jump into the river, a group of mobsters came to attack “Ismaël”. They almost drowed “Ismaël” but Léa survived and was instead being pursued by Jonathan who had a gun with him. In the actual timeline, that was how Ismaël died. Ismaël was shot by Jonathan at the river and left to die there, while Karine, Patricia, Pye, Sandra and especially Stéphane, continued to live with the guilt of having contributed to Ismaël’s death.

Did Léa change time?

Realizing that her life was based on Ismaël’s death and that Ismaël had saved her life when she tried to overdose, Léa decided to change time and save Ismaël. She talked Jonathan out of shooting her (Ismaël) by telling him that if he proceeded with it, he will have to carry this burden of murder for the rest of his life. Already initially reluctant, Jonathan let “Ismaël” go and so, Ismaël was saved.

Léa looked for Ismaël’s friends and shared a hug with them as they are relieved that Ismaël is not dead. Before she cease to exist, Léa wrote a heartfelt letter to Ismaël in his notebook, explaining the situation and telling him she loved him.
